Jeuveau™ (prabotulinumtoxinA-xvfs) is the latest competitor to Botox, and the Falcone Center is excited to be one of the first practices in the region to offer this advancement in glabellar frown line wrinkle reduction.
Available starting in May of 2019, Jeuveau from Evolus has been shown in head-to-head trials with Botox to perform equally in most patients.
So what is the advantage to the patient? Jeuveau is a less expensive alternative to Botox. It may not perform equally in all patients, but if the results are the same for you, it could save you $25-$75 per treatment.
Jeuveau is FDA-approved for the treatment of moderate to severe glabellar frown lines. Use of Jeuveau in other areas of the face would be considered an “off-label” use of the product. You can discuss your treatment areas and concerns with the Falcone Center staff when you arrive for your appointment. Your consultation will help you decide whether or not to try this new wrinkle reducer, Jeuveau.
If it has been four months since your last Botox or Dysport treatment, you are eligible to try Jeuveau. The treatment will feel the same as a previous Botox or Dysport treatment as the same small needles and injections sites are used for placement of Jeuveau. You will begin to see the effects of Jeuveau 3-7 days post injection and the results should last 3-4 months in most patients.
If you have questions or concerns regarding your results, you may return to the office for evaluation 7 days post injection. Any dosing adjustment that is required to achieve full effect can be done 7 days after your initial treatment.
We recommend that you refrain from exercise, touching or laying on the treatment area for 4 hours after Jeuveau injection. After four hours, there are no restrictions to your activity.
