Body Contouring
Dr. Victoria Falcone is a board-certified physician and liposuction specialist who has performed more than 5,000 liposuction procedures since 2006, when she became the first doctor in Pennsylvania to offer awake SmartLipo. Unlike most practices, which offer a single liposuction technology, The Falcone Center uses four distinct liposuction technologies: SmartLipo, VASER, Body-Jet (water-assisted), and traditional power-assisted liposuction. She combines them as needed at no extra charge, so your procedure is built around your body rather than the machine the office happens to own.
The Falcone Center treats patients from two locations: Bala Cynwyd, PA (Main Line) and Maple Shade, NJ (South Jersey).

Who Liposuction Is For
Liposuction removes stubborn, diet- and exercise-resistant fat from targeted areas of the body. Good candidates are close to their goal weight and dealing with localized fat pockets rather than significant overall weight loss, common areas include the abdomen, flanks, thighs, arms, back, and chin. Dr. Falcone also treats lipedema, a fat-storage disorder that responds specifically to water-assisted liposuction, and cases involving loose skin, previous liposuction scar tissue, or combined fat-transfer goals (face, hands, buttocks).
Why Dr. Falcone’s Approach Is Different
Every patient meets with Dr. Falcone personally, not a consultant, to review history, goals, and body type before any technology is chosen. She has trained directly with the surgeons who pioneered SmartLipo, Body-Jet, and Vaser Liposelection in the U.S., and she stays current through the World Congress of Liposuction Surgery, the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, and the World Association of Gluteal Surgeons. Every consultation includes a complimentary InBody body composition scan ($100 value), giving you an objective baseline and post-procedure tracking of your results.
Liposuction Technologies at The Falcone Center
| Technology | Best For | Anesthesia | Downtime | Compression Garment |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Body-Jet Liposuction (water-assisted) | Thighs, lipedema, fat transfer donor sites | Local, patient awake | 1–2 days to normal activity | 2 weeks |
| SmartLipo (laser-assisted) | Loose skin, smaller areas, skin tightening | Local, patient awake | 1–2 days | 2 weeks |
| VASER Liposelection (ultrasound) | Deeper fat, revision cases, scar tissue | Local, patient awake | 2–3 days | ~2 weeks |
| Lipo 360 (circumferential) | Full-torso contouring | General/IV sedation | 3–5 days | 2+ weeks |
Dr. Falcone frequently combines technologies in a single session, for example, VASER for deep fat removal followed by SmartLipo for skin tightening, with no additional charge for using more than one technique.
Body-Jet Liposuction (Water-Assisted / Aquashape)
Body-Jet uses pulses of anesthetic fluid to gently dislodge fat cells while suctioning them in the same continuous motion, producing less swelling and a more immediately visible result than older tumescent techniques. It’s Dr. Falcone’s preferred technique for thigh contouring and her primary tool for treating lipedema, where she has more than 10 years of specialized experience. Because fat is preserved intact during removal, Body-Jet is also the technology used when fat will be transferred elsewhere in the same session (face, hands, buttocks).
SmartLipo Triplex (Laser-Assisted)
SmartLipo uses laser energy to liquefy fat while simultaneously tightening the overlying skin, important for patients concerned about loose skin after fat removal. As a stand-alone treatment, it works best for patients within about 25 pounds of goal weight with localized, diet-resistant fat. For larger-volume cases, Dr. Falcone combines it with VASER or Body-Jet.
VASER Liposelection
VASER uses targeted ultrasound energy to break up fat while leaving surrounding connective tissue largely undisturbed, which typically means tighter results with less bruising than traditional liposuction, and it’s Dr. Falcone’s go-to for deeper fat layers and revision cases involving prior scar tissue.
Lipo 360
“Lipo 360” refers to circumferential liposuction around the entire torso, abdomen, flanks, and back treated as one continuous area rather than isolated zones. Dr. Falcone was performing this comprehensive approach before the term existed in the industry.
Fat Transfer & Fat Grafting
If you want removed fat reused to enhance another area, such as the face, hands, or buttocks, The Falcone Center uses clinically validated closed fat-transfer systems (Puregraft and the Wells Johnson HVP Auto-Graft system) that filter out damaged cells and fluid, improving graft survival compared to older centrifuge methods. For fine facial and hand augmentation, AMLI Micronized Fat Transfer processes your own fat into a smoother, filler-like consistency that can last years longer than hyaluronic acid fillers. Frequently Asked Questions
How many liposuction technologies does Dr. Falcone offer, and why does that matter?
Four, SmartLipo, VASER, Body-Jet, and traditional power-assisted liposuction. Most practices offer one and fit every patient to it. Dr. Falcone selects (or combines) technologies based on your specific goals, skin quality, and fat distribution.
How much does liposuction cost in Philadelphia?
Individual areas typically range from $1,400–$4,750, with a $4,250 minimum procedure charge. Full abdomen treatment runs $4,950–$6,750, and Lipo 360 typically costs $5,950–$6,950. Exact pricing is confirmed at consultation.
Is liposuction the same as a tummy tuck?
No. Liposuction removes fat through small incisions and suction; it does not remove excess skin or repair separated abdominal muscles the way a tummy tuck does. Patients with significant loose skin may be better candidates for skin-tightening liposuction technologies (SmartLipo, VASER) combined with a tailored recovery plan, ask Dr. Falcone directly at consultation which applies to you.
What is the recovery time for liposuction?
Most patients return to normal, non-strenuous activity within 1–5 days depending on the technology and area treated, and resume strenuous exercise after about two weeks. Full recovery guide →
Does Dr. Falcone treat lipedema?
Yes. Dr. Falcone has treated lipedema patients for more than 10 years using Body-Jet, water-assisted liposuction, which is the technique indicated for this fat-storage disorder. Lipedema treatment details →
