Men’s Health
Erectile dysfunction has many causes, and medication doesn’t work, or work well enough, for everyone. The Falcone Center offers two non-surgical, office-based treatments that address the issue differently: the P-Shot, which uses your body’s own healing factors, and BOCOX, which uses a neurotoxin to improve blood flow.

Comparing the P-Shot & BOCOX
| P-Shot (Priapus Shot) | BOCOX | |
|---|---|---|
| Active ingredient | Your own platelet-rich fibrin matrix and growth factors | Botox (neurotoxin) |
| How it works | Stimulates tissue repair and regeneration | Temporarily relaxes penile muscles to improve blood circulation |
| Who it’s for | Men seeking improved sexual function, size, sensitivity, or recovery after prostate surgery | Men seeking improved blood flow and erectile function |
| Downtime | Little to none | Minimal |
The P-Shot (Priapus Shot)
Named for Priapus, the Greek god of fertility, the P-Shot uses your own blood, processed to concentrate growth factors, then activated and injected, to promote healing and improve blood flow, sensitivity, and erectile firmness. You don’t need a diagnosis of erectile dysfunction to be a candidate; many men use it simply to enhance existing function. It can also improve the effectiveness of ED medications for men who continue to use them. Note: smoking significantly impairs the cell growth this treatment relies on. Dr. Falcone recommends quitting before treatment for meaningful results.
BOCOX
BOCOX uses Botox to temporarily relax penile muscles, improving blood circulation and erectile function through a different mechanism than the P-Shot’s regenerative approach. Some patients choose one treatment; others combine both as part of a broader plan discussed at consultation.
Good to Know
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need erectile dysfunction to get the P-Shot?
No. Many men without an ED diagnosis use the P-Shot to enhance existing sexual function.
What’s the difference between the P-Shot and BOCOX?
The P-Shot uses your own blood-derived growth factors to stimulate tissue repair; BOCOX uses Botox to relax muscles and improve blood flow. They work through different mechanisms and can be used individually or together.
Does smoking affect results?
Yes. Smoking significantly reduces the cell growth the P-Shot relies on. Dr. Falcone recommends quitting before treatment.
Is there downtime?
Both treatments involve little to no downtime.
